About DIE FRISCHEMANUFAKTUR

Our founder Jenny knows the food retail trade. Not only from the customer's point of view, but also from the retailer's: during her 5 years as an employee in the REWE Group strategy department, she often travelled professionally. During this time, as a change from various "to-go" offers on the road, she also liked to take freshly cut fruit. She noticed that at most stores the quality was sometimes really good - and sometimes less.

But the initial spark for THE FRESH MANUFACTURE came differently in 2014: One evening she stood in a storage room in front of a garbage bag full of sorted out fruit salads. Then she realized how much fresh fruit ends up in the garbage every evening and that there had to be a solution or at least an improvement! Driven by this thought, the idea was born: to found a company that would be able to establish a brand for Fresh-Cut fruit that stands for good quality and less food waste - nationwide and supermarket-wide.
