Who we are: Andréa from Antananarivo, Madagascar, and Stefan from Endingen am Kaiserstuhl, at our wedding in Antananarivo. Our common history starts in 2014 at the University of Saarland, where we met at the University Basketball. Since it sparked quite fast, we wanted to seal it with a ring. In 2016 we flew to Andréas homeland to celebrate the traditional Malagasy engagement party Vodyondry. This was Stefan's first trip to Madagascar and he was impressed by this colourful country, its culture and its natural diversity. It was also here that he met the Andréas family for the first time, whom he knew only from Skype. Among his relatives were vanilla growers and exporters, and over the years the idea gradually grew to ship vanilla directly to Germany in collaboration with the vanilla family to skip expensive stopovers and still offer fair prices to harvesters, producers and customers. So we inquisitively learned everything there was to learn about Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar - and discovered an incredibly interesting and inspiring area. Our fire for the topic was kindled.

At the end of 2018 we finally began to put the idea into practice in Neu-Isenburg near Frankfurt, where we now live, and here we are today - lavanila.de has become reality. Due to the large standard quantities in which vanilla is exported, we are now looking for customers who would like to participate in our 2019 harvest order.
