It once happened long ago in a dark forest... No, the story of Löblich is quickly told: After watching the documentary "More than Honey" Christian became interested in bees and how to protect them. Stadtimkern just came up and with it the idea to keep a colony of bees on his own balcony in Hamburg Lokstedt.

Unfortunately, landlords and neighbours were anything but bee-friendly, and since good things seldom come out of strife and disagreement, the project was put on hold.

A few months later, the hobby cook and diligent ingredient list reader noticed that when honey is an ingredient in drinks, it is almost always inferior industrial honey. "Well, really well produced honey is probably not water-soluble at all," he thought. But since only trial and error makes "kluch", they pulled out ph-meters, water bubblers and infrared thermometers, experimented a bit, turned the kitchen into a sticky ruin, but finally found a recipe that tastes as simple as it is brilliant.
