LVA GmbH

The LVA was founded as the Food Testing Institute in 1926 and is today Austria's largest private institute for analysis and expertise in all aspects of food, feed, environment and pharmaceuticals, located in Klosterneuburg.

Originally, the Lebensmittelversuchsanstalt was founded to rebuild the food industry in the post-war period and to consolidate it through knowledge exchange and a productive community. This basic idea has now occupied us for almost 100 years and is still the basis of our activities.

In the meantime, we can count producers, importers, exporters, bottlers, the trade, communal catering, gastronomy and canteen kitchens among our customers. This results in an incredibly large customer base from over 70 different countries worldwide.

We support our customers in verifying product safety and product quality, conduct audits and offer seminars, training and consulting. These essential services for more safety in trade and production are driven by more than 140 employees. The high quality of our work is continuously confirmed with various accreditations and certifications by independent institutions. At the Klosterneuburg site alone, an average of over 38,000 samples per year from the areas of food and feed as well as environment, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals are examined using more than 400 methods.
