Since 2019, we have been asking ourselves what we can actively do for our climate. After extensive, week-long research, we came across a possible solution that was completely unknown to us until then. We discovered reports and articles about insects as food. For almost 2 billion people already the most normal thing in the world. In Europe still rather an exception than the rule. One thing was certain, we had to take a closer look. After a joint trip to Thailand in 2019, we were fascinated by the self-evidence of eating insects and especially by the many nutty, wonderfully spiced, crispy flavors. Back in Germany, like absolute amateurs, we ordered a pack of mealworms on Amazon for bird feeding and tried them. We realized that it is not that easy to get high-quality insects. We wanted to make this search easier and offer our customers high quality insects at an affordable price. Thus Insectarian was born. The rest is almost history. We see it as a duty of our company's existence to make a significant contribution to establishing insects as food and promoting sustainability and environmental awareness.
