The Chicago GOOD DESIGN Award has been conferred for over 60 years and is one of the world's most prestigious design awards. This is the first prize won by the Hamburg Goblet. The special shape of the craft beer glass allows the full aroma to develop and an accurate comparison of beer color - also thanks to the hollow stem. The stem lengthens the path of the carbonation, allowing the CO2 bubbles to absorb more aromatic substances and thus ensuring a more intensive taste experience. The high-quality crystal of the glass with its bulbous bowl that narrows at the top and its slightly flared mouth make it an ideal tasting glass. The goblet was developed in cooperation with world-class beer sommelier Oliver Wesseloh. The Brewhouse Tumbler - a very popular shape in the international craft beer scene - has received its second prize with the Chicago GOOD DESIGN Award. The tumbler received the Red Dot Design Award in 2015. Once again, it was the tumbler's aesthetic design and the perfect melding of functionality and sensory characteristics that convinced the jury. The tumbler was designed for SAHM by Sylvia Weber. To support the head ideally and allow carbonation to be released, the glass has a narrow base. Thanks to the round body of the upper portion of the glass, the beer has enough room to develop its aromas.
The third award-winning glass debuted less than six months ago and has already won its first prize: The Craftsman Tumbler has won the iF Design Award, one of the most respected competitions for excellent product design. The glass from the SAHM craft-beer range was designed by Annette Neunzig. The unique shape of the tumbler accentuates the different and multi-faceted aromas of a wide range of beers. Fruity and floral components are emphasized, the unique flavor of the craft beer is enhanced. The concentrated flow guarantees the ultimate enjoyment of the beer, ensuring that all regions of the tongue are stimulated at virtually the same time.
