Starbucks Expands Tea Offerings In Asia
Starbucks, the world's largest coffee retailer, has launched its new tea line Teavana in the whole Asia region after it was introduced in China.
Starbucks will start selling Teavana tea across all its 6,200 outlets in the Asia-Pacific region including Cambodia, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, India and Malaysia.
The new Teavana line includes drinks like black tea with ruby grapefruit and honey as well as iced shaken hibiscus tea with pomegranate pearls.
Tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world after water. The tea industry is worth $125 billion. Starbucks plans to increase its global tea business to $3 billion over the next five years.(dpa)
