Kaffeekoop GmbH

We are a German-African social business, founded by a Ugandan and a German. We want to change the distribution of Fairtrade coffee: Our coffees are grown, roasted and packaged by the producers themselves. We distribute the finished Fairtrade coffee in Germany and are thus the extended arm of the cultivation and production cooperatives.

Our coffee is not only unique in taste: our coffee brands, which are owned by the cultivation cooperatives in Rwanda and prospectively other African countries, are a novelty on the German market.

Not only is a raw material produced, but the entire value chain in the production process remains with our capable partners* in Rwanda.

Coffee Cooperative was founded by Allan Mubiru and Xaver Kitzinger. The two have been working closely together for many years to implement development and climate protection projects in Rwanda. Mostly it was about introducing good, clean technologies in Rwanda and creating the local structures for this. Today, they use this experience to work with the farming cooperatives.
