Amazon Looking Into Food Delivery With Partners Like Shake Shack
Online retailing giant Amazon revealed it new partnership deal with Olo, a company that provides food ordering software throughout the restaurant industry.
Olo provides digital order and pay technology to 200 restaurant brands that has about 40,000 U.S. locations.
The deal with Olo can bring fast-food restaurants like Shake Shack, Chipotle, Five Guys and Wingstop to the Amazon Restaurants delivery service.
According to reports, Amazon has integrated into Olo's application programming interface that will allow these chains to list their menus on Amazon and have orders route directly to their point of service systems.
Amazon had launched its Amazon Restaurant, a one-hour restaurant delivery service in Seattle in 2015 and has expanded it to about 20 cities around the country.(dpa)
