Wheat flour is correctly listed as the second ingredient on the package, but the allergen statement does not include wheat alongside the properly declared allergens listed. People who are allergic to wheat can run the risk of serious and sometimes life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.
After the problem was discovered, Lidl US immediately removed all affected products from its shelves.The affected product was sold at all Lidl US stores. The company has not received any complaints in relation to this product and is not aware of any allergic reactions associated with it.
Lidl US takes the health of its customers and the integrity of the products it sells seriously. If customers have purchased a product that is part of this recall and are allergic to wheat, they should discard the product immediately or return it to their nearest Lidl store for a full refund.
