Coca-Cola prepares for lower growth in the coming year
The US beverage giant Coca-Cola is preparing for less growth. The prospects for the US economy in 2019 are uncertain and the company could grow less strongly in the coming year than in 2018, said CEO James Quincey to the financial channel CNBC. Consumer spending weakened in September. The Atlanta-based company will probably be less active in buying and selling next year. Quincey told the station that the company was not yet ready for research and development on the planned cannabis drinks. The share lost most of its price gains on Tuesday and was still 0.3 percent up most recently./men/fba (dpa)
