NUTRITION 2023 returns as in-person event in Boston
The leading annual event with the latest nutrition research will reunite the nutrition community in July 2023
The American Society for nutrition (ASN) announced today that its annual meeting, NUTRITION 2023, will take place in Boston, MA, July 22-25, 2023. NUTRITION 2023 is the premier meeting for the nutrition community, exploring developments in clinical and translational nutrition, food science and systems, diet and disease, basic science, global health, and more. Nutrition scientists are invited to share their research and join together with clinicians, policy experts, industry, and the media to network and learn for 3.5 exciting days in Boston.

“As an in-person event, NUTRITION 2023 will allow attendees to disconnect from daily demands and distractions, and reconnect in constructive and meaningful conversations that can best happen when we’re face-to-face. And it’s all in a family-friendly environment,” said Martha Belury, RDN, PhD, ASN President.
NUTRITION 2023 will continue to offer the latest research on the hottest topics in nutrition. Featured studies from past meetings focused on the relationship between diet and cancer, the reliability of nutrition information on social media, precision nutrition, and processed foods and children’s health -- all covered by high-impact media outlets worldwide. The program will feature scientific symposia and educational sessions; original research studies presented in oral and poster sessions and flash talks; award lectures delivered by distinguished leaders; professional and career development opportunities; and small group sessions with ASN’s vibrant scientific communities.
“The first annual NUTRITION meeting was held in Boston in 2018, making it the ideal location to reunite for the nutrition community’s homecoming,” said John Courtney, PhD, ASN’s Chief Executive Officer. “Boston is a world-class destination, easily accessible for domestic and international travelers, and offering a rich culture, diverse dining, and a variety of entertainment options. And Boston's renowned medical and educational institutions have defined the city as an international center for learning and intellectualism, which is in-line with the superior scientific programming NUTRITION 2023 will offer.”
Scientists are invited to submit original research in the form of abstracts for presentation at NUTRITION 2023 beginning in early December. At NUTRITION 2023, the ASN Foundation will present scientific achievement awards to investigators at all career stages and recognize the 2020-2023 ASN Classes of Fellows which is the highest honor bestowed by ASN.
