Consumers have the right to good quality, honest food that does not mislead them or endanger their health. This should be self-evident, but it is far from it. That is why we at foodwatch Austria are needed. With our campaigns, we stand up for the rights of consumers in the food sector. Together with our supporters, we can achieve a lot. Also in Austria, foodwatch has a lot to do. Food producers deceive us far too often with promising advertising, entice us with supposedly healthy products and promise things that they do not deliver. Together with you, we can convince companies, politicians and authorities to change this. Heidi Porstner and Lisa Kernegger, heads of foodwatch Austria foodwatch is a small organisation with a big reach. We are independent of governments and the food industry: it is our donors who make our work possible. As foodwatch Austria we are part of the international organisation foodwatch. We all want honest and good food that does not endanger our health. Misleading and endangering health are strictly forbidden by law and yet are daily practice in the food market.
