SNACK-INSECTS - successful on the German market for more than 5 years
In autumn 2012 a report about 'insects as protein suppliers' drew our attention to the potential of food insects. First tastings and cooking experiments with locusts and Co. in our home kitchen followed. Not only the taste, but also the sustainability aspect of insects as food convinced us and so we founded 'Snack-Insects' at the beginning of 2013.
In addition to selling our products to private customers, resellers and restaurateurs, we also organise tasting events, give insect cooking courses and contribute to better information about insect consumption through information events.
Insects are not only very versatile in their preparation. Due to resource-saving breeding and very good nutritional values, insects are already considered by many experts to be the sustainable protein source of the future.
