About Nanoinitiative Bayern
The Cluster Nanotechnology cross-links nanotechnology competences from the economy, science, politics and education. The focus is on the networking with small and medium-sized enterprises with each other and with universities, universities of applied sciences and research institutions. Further it supports an efficient transfer of R&D&I results into marketable products and the promotion of customer oriented cooperation projects, i.e. in the field of nanocarbon materials, nanoinks, nanosilver or nanoanalytics.

The Nanoinitiative Bayern GmbH is responsible for the cluster management. Shareholders of the company are the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Würzburg-Schweinfurt and the Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg. The two shareholders are representing the local industry in Bavaria respectively the Bavarian community of universities and research institutes. The Cluster Nanotechnology is supported within the Bavarian Cluster Offensive by the Bavarian State Government.
