About Azienda Agricola Foffani
The old property of Giovanni Foffani's mother, Maria Teresa Calligaris, has origin in the XVI century and documented wine production since 1789 and it's an example of local architecture preceding the Venetian villas, built one century later.
In the backyard, the rural buildings are surrounded by a large garden that continues into the vineyards.
Viewing the park is "B&B Casa Antica Mosaici", two double rooms with independent bathrooms, and a small kitchen are available for guests who want to relax in Clauiano, a central location in Friuli, just below the Eastern Alpine chain.
Azienda Agricola Foffani's vineyards belong to DOC Friuli Aquileia, located in the Oriental part of Friuli region, North East of Italy.
The soil, composed of rich clay and stones, and the, climate, open to cool eastern winds, are is ideal for vine raising.

Extreme care is provided in order to obtain the highest product quality and environmental respect (Low production with high density plantation and Guyot pruning - No use of chemical fertilizers - Phytosanitary treatments according to law 2089 for environmental respect - Harvesting by hand - Antioxidant control with inert gases in the cellar - Fine temperature control through all cellar processes - Bottling on own equipment with naturals corks)
