Südzucker increases full year outlook following positive second quarter
Südzucker AG group revenues in the first half year (1 March 2015 to 31 August 2015) of current financial year 2015/16 reached EUR 3,331 (previous year: 3,482) million. Group operating profit decreased in the same period to EUR 134 (previous year: 147) million. This earnings reduction is caused by the development in the sugar segment.
Against this background of a positive second quarter development, Südzucker now expects for financial year 2015/16 group revenues of EUR 6.2 to 6.4 (previous year: 6.8) billion and group operating profit to reach EUR 180 to 230 (previous year: 181) million. The forecast increase is mainly supported by the ongoing positive bioethanol price development.
The full interim report for the first half year 2015/16 will be published on 8 October 2015.
