Nestlé Canada Recalls Nestlé Good Start 2 Concentrate 359ml With Omega Infant
Nestlé Canada said that it recalls Nestlé Good Start 2 Concentrate 359 ml with omega Infant Formula, packaged in a tetra box with the following batch codes: 512857211A, 512957211A, 512957212A, 513057211A (this product is only sold in a case 12x359ml). This recall does not affect any other Nestlé Good Start products or any other markets outside of Canada.
Nestlé Canada is working with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and is voluntarily recalling four batches of the product due to a quality issue. The minerals in the formula may separate over time and appear as black particles in the concentrate. Consumption of the affected product could lead to lower intake of some nutrients, due to reduced bioavailability.
The company noted that it is immediately contacting customers who received Nestlé Good Start 2 Concentrate 359ml Tetra Box with Omega with the affected batch codes and arranging for all products to be returned. (dpa)
