Changes in the management of the Oetker Group and Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG
As part of its long-term succession planning, the Advisory Board of Dr. August Oetker KG has decided on a number of personnel changes in the management of the Oetker Group. This is also to be accompanied by a change in the management of Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG.
Richard Oetker (66), Chairman of the Executive Board of Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG, is to retire effective November 1, 2017, but will remain involved with the company as a shareholder and on the advisory boards of various Group companies. Dr. h. c. August Oetker (73), Chairman of the Advisory Board of Dr. August Oetker KG, would like to thank Richard Oetker on behalf of the shareholders, the Advisory Board and the entire workforce for his many years of exceptionally successful service to the Oetker Group.
Also effective November 1, 2017, Dr. Albert Christmann (54), General Partner of Dr. August Oetker KG and member of the Group Management, will take over from Richard Oetker as Chairman of the Executive Board of Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG. Dr. Christmann will continue to be responsible for the Food, Sparkling Wine/Wine/Spirits and Oetker Digital divisions in the Group Management, as has been the case since January 2017.
Dr. Heino Schmidt (58), who has to date been a member of the Executive Board of Hamburg Südamerikanische Dampfschifffahrts-Gesellschaft KG (Hamburg Süd) with responsibility for Accounting, Controlling and Personnel, will join the Group Management on September 1, 2017. He will take over responsibility for Finance, Banking and Other Interests from Dr. Christmann effective November 1, 2017.
