Dr Lars Gorissen named as Speaker of the Executive Board at Nordzucker
The Nordzucker Group has a new Speaker of the Executive Board: as of 1 March 2018, Dr Lars Gorissen will be taking over at the helm of the company.

Formerly Chief Agricultural Officer, he is taking over as Speaker of the Executive Board in an era of liberalization in the EU sugar market – an era that will have a profound impact on markets, prices and beet cultivation. He underlines that, “We will resolutely defend and build upon our position as a profitable leader in the European market – and seize the growth opportunities available to us on the global market.”
Dr Gorissen joined Nordzucker in 2008 and has led the Nordzucker agricultural sector since February 2014. A doctor of law, he will also be responsible for the Business Development, Communications & Public Affairs, Data Protection, Human Resources, Internal Audit and Legal departments in his new role from 1 March.
Dr Lars Gorissen is the successor of Hartwig Fuchs, who stepped down from the company for personal reasons on 28 February 2018.
