The taste of Coca-Cola Energy comes very close to the classic Coke taste. The drink is taurine-free and contains caffeine of natural origin, guarana extract and B vitamins. Coca-Cola Energy will also be available in a sugar- and calorie-free version. Both varieties are available in 250 ml cans. The launch will be accompanied by a comprehensive marketing campaign, initially launched in Spain and Hungary.
Further development of the beverage portfolio
With Coca-Cola Energy, the company aims to attract more new consumers aged 18-35 who love the taste of Coca-Cola. As the world's leading beverage company, Coca-Cola continues to develop its product line to offer consumers more variety in their beverage choices. In doing so, Coca-Cola focuses on innovation, new product variants and the further development of its core brands.
In addition to the classic Coke, with which it all began in 1886, Coca-Cola's product range in Germany today comprises more than 80 products. These also include spritzers, juices, waters, sports drinks and iced teas as well as ready-to-drink tea and coffee. One third of the beverages on offer are calorie-reduced or calorie-free. Last year alone, 16 new products came onto the German market. Coca-Cola launched an energy drink under the Coca-Cola brand. Coca-Cola Energy will be launched in various countries during 2019, with an initial focus on Europe. In Germany, the launch is planned for May 2019.
