Convenience on the shelf with cookies
Product and packaging can not be separated. Wolfgang Zydek, head of packaging management at Griesson-de Beukelaer, presented products on the German Packaging Conference 2014 of the dvi.

A successful example: ChocOlé twisted pastry sticks wrapped in chocolate. Perfect protection for the fragile stick offers a round box made of cardboard. The round packaging falls not only on the POS on the pastry shelf, it also has interesting benefit aspects. The attractive box is intuitive to open and reseal by tear thread and also fits in the cup holder in the car.
In the development of the can no existing design has been implemented, but special emphasis on product protection and barrier effect despite pure cardboard packaging - especially with regard to migration - defined. The color scheme was based on the "learned" in chocolate colors: blue stands for whole milk, red for dark. Even as gifts offers the packaging concept a surprise: when opening the sticks are instant like a bouquet of flowers.
Individually wrapped -in newspaper-
Extra large, individually packaged and according to the original recipe are the New York American Cookies in XXL format, which were introduced in April 2014 in the trade. The top-loading box contains four individually wrapped cookies that are so large with 8.5 cm diameter as the American originals, and they bring New York pastry tradition to Cookies shelf. Each XXL cookie is individually wrapped to provide the freshness of the cookies safely. Thus, the cookies are also ideal for traveling. For the classic original New York Feeling the individual packaging ensures the American newspaper look - like in the good old days when the cookie was served freshly packed over the counter. The American newspaper "The Daily Cookie" engages witty cookies Stories on - "A balanced diet is a cookie in each hand" - and gives the impression that the cookie had just taken fresh in newspaper.
The authentic folding box in the style of a nostalgic American Bakery completes the entire brand identity. The design is taken up on the shelf packaging. All four varieties can be eaten not only cold but also warm - just briefly put them in the microwave and enjoy.
Edge to touch
The chocolate shortbread segment continues to grow: in 2012, the turnover increased by 4.2% compared to last year. The chocolate shortbread Kex of de Beukelaer expanded since October, the Kex brand and is the innovation among the chocolate-butter biscuits. Thanks a practical edge to touch that, it's guaranteed to enjoy without chocolate fingers. The crispy biscuit with extra thick chocolate also convinces through its special packaging. The practical "Knack Pack" can be opened with a "snap" and contains four freshness packs à two portions. Way the cookies stay fresh longer and are ideal for traveling.
