IFF Expands Flavors Facility in South Africa

International flavors & Fragrances Inc. (NYSE:IFF), a leading global creator of flavors and fragrances for consumer products, today announced the expansion of its flavors facility in Isando, South Africa.

The expanded facility, located near Johannesburg and adjacent to IFF’s existing manufacturing plant, more than doubles IFF’s creative capabilities in South Africa. The new cutting-edge facility includes flavor creation, application and sensory laboratories, and a pilot plant that will cater to the Company’s expanded customer base in the rapidly growing Sub-Saharan Africa region. IFF’s total footprint in South Africa is approximately 30,000 square meters.

IFF continuously reviews its footprint to ensure it is investing appropriately to best meet customers’ needs. Over the past six months, the Company announced the opening of flavors facilities in Chicago, US; Jakarta, Indonesia; and Santiago, Chile. IFF has also made several large investments to support key markets over the last few years in Singapore, Turkey, China, India, and UAE.
