Dr. Oetker with new international Executive Board
Departure of Richard Oetker and Rainer Lührs
As already announced on May 4, 2017, Richard Oetker (66) will be stepping down from the international Executive Board of Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG effective October 31, 2017, and is to take over as Chairman of its Advisory Board as of November 1, 2017. At the same time, Rainer Lührs (64), Managing Director Marketing, Research and Development, will be going into retirement after 40 years of service to the company. The stockholders and the Advisory Board of Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG thank both gentlemen for their sterling work over the past decades.

Effective November 1, 2017, the international Executive Board will consist of the following members:
Dr. Albert Christmann (54), General Partner of Dr. August Oetker KG and Chairman of the Advisory Board of Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG to date, is to be the new Chairman of the Executive Board with responsibility for Corporate Strategy, Mergers & Acquisitions, Marketing, PR and Personnel. He will also act as coach for the German Dr. Oetker national organization.
Dr. Christian von Twickel (44) will continue to be responsible for Production and Technology, Logistics, Environment and now also for Purchasing, Research and Development and Compliance/ Sustainability. He will also act as coach to the national companies in Northern, Central and South America.
Dr. Martin Reintjes (55) will continue to be responsible for Sales; he is also to serve as coach for the Western Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia regions.
Dr. Alexander Edelmann (44) is to join the Executive Board for the first time on October 1, 2017, where he will be responsible for Controlling, Accounting, Finance, Tax, Insurance and IT Services. He will also act as coach to the Eastern European countries. Dr. Edelmann has held various management positions in Controlling and IT at Hamburg-Südamerikanische Dampfschifffahrts-Gesellschaft KG since 2007.
The aforementioned functional responsibilities and coaching functions for the national companies will be transferred effective November 1, 2017.
Andreas Unruhe (47), who has been responsible for Controlling, Purchasing, IT Services and Insurance to date, has left the Executive Board and the company effective August 31, 2017. The stockholders and the Advisory Board of Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG also thank him for his many years of excellent service.
Change in Oetker Group Management
As also published on May 4, 2017, Dr. Heino Schmidt (58), who has been a member of the Executive Board of Hamburg-Südamerikanische Dampfschifffahrts-Gesellschaft KG to date, joined the Group Management on September 1, 2017, taking over responsibility for Finance, Banking and Other Interests from Dr. Albert Christmann effective November 1, 2017.
