Danish Søren Brinck to join Carlsberg Group as SVP for Asia

Søren Brinck, who has been Managing Director of Carlsberg’s home market since March 2017, has been appointed Senior Vice President Asia from 1 January, 2020. This new role represents an extra resource commitment to accelerate Carlsberg Group’s growth opportunities in Asia.

Søren Brinck will be responsible for the Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia businesses. In addition, he will lead various business development projects to unlock new market partnerships and channel opportunities. Brinck will report to Graham Fewkes, EVP Asia.

Søren Brinck earned his Master of Business Administration in 2000 from Aarhus University. Following his work as a business and strategy consultant, amongst others with Accenture, Søren joined the Carlsberg Group in September 2005 and has held multiple positions. At Group level, Søren has been Commercial Excellence Director, Group Strategy Director and VP Business Development in WE region. At Market level, Søren has held 3 MD roles. His first MD responsibility was of Mythos Breweries, Greece, from November 2009 to November 2012. In January 2015, Søren became MD of Ringnes AS, Norway – and since March 2017 he has been MD of Carlsberg Denmark. In all his roles, including in his last two roles leading two of the company’s biggest businesses, Brinck has delivered consistent and excellent performance.

Also effective 1 January, 2020, Peter Haahr Nielsen is appointed Managing Director of Carlsberg Denmark. Haahr Nielsen will report to EVP WE Region, Jacek Pastuszka. Peter Haahr Nielsen joined Carlsberg in November 2004 after earning his Master’s Degree in Marketing & Economics from Copenhagen Business School. Since 2016, Haahr Nielsen has been VP Sales, Off Trade in Carlsberg Denmark.
